Freelance Questions:

- What are the advantages and disadvantages of working independently?Working alone can be a positive experience if you enjoy minimal distractions and a lack of coworkers. However, having minimal distractions also means having no one to share your thoughts or converse with. Working alone means that no one else can cause you to mess up, which is a positive and negative quality. Positive in the sense that all the glory can be yours but negative in the sense no one is there to fall back or lean on. - How does your occupation/ position/ or status affect your potential
opportunities or career direction? If your current job is something that you have no interest in, and you decide to freelance in something completely different you may have difficulty. This is because writing about something new and unfamiliar may make for a difficult job search.
- How does the frequency or infrequency of payment from freelancingaffect the budget of a writer?A writer will more often than not get a job that says it will pay upon publication, but that entails that the piece of writing may not be published for months, this could be devastating to an income unless the freelance writer has many jobs at the same time. If that is the case the checks would be coming at a fairly steady pace.
- How do flexibility, organization, and discipline affect a
freelancer’s capacity to research, generate and produce quality work?
If a person wants intends to be successful in the field, they would have to be able to be organized and disciplined or their lack of ability to research and generate would cause them not to be able to book enough to have a steady income.
- How does one’s expertise or ignorance affect a freelancer’s choice
of  assignment?
If a person is ignorant then their pool of articles is vastly limited. When there are less articles to choose from then less jobs can be booked and therefore a steady income would be nearly impossible.- Should you say no to an assignment? Why or When (at what point)?

You should say no thank you to an assignment if you have more projects than you can handle already on your plate. If you have too much going on not enough effort will go into each project specifically, and then your work won't be quality. If you can no longer produce quality work then jobs will begin to disappear.
